Canon EF-S 17-55 mm f/2.8 IS USM

9. Ghosting and flare

In spite of the fact that Canon is known for its high quality anti-reflex coats, the complicated lens construction, which has lots of medium boundaries and moving elements makes the lens vulnerable for it's interior flares. These are visible for a whole range of 17-30 mm and they become unnoticeable for 55 mm.
