Marumi products are valued by photographers on account of good price/quality ratio. Filters with DHG symbol are equipped with improved antireflection coatings and the glass edges are blackened to avoid internal reflections.

Usage
The filter didn’t cause any problems during the tests. The ring is a little too resistant to turn, especially because it’s quite narrow.
Summary
10th place in the overall ranking (26/37.5)The transmission curve is flat in the visible spectrum, only violet color is transmitted a little worse. It’s not extinguished entirely as well, however it’s not an important effect. The polarizer becomes transparent in infrared. The extinction coefficient of about 4-5/10000 is not a bad result for a foil polarizer. C1 and C2 graphs indicate that we’re dealing with a quarter-wave plate of zeroth order designed for the middle of visible spectrum. On one hand, the filter can show off with not bad transmission, on the other we have too much scattering and flares. You need to consider if it’s worth getting into the slim version, if at the same price there’s a slightly optically better Marumi MC cpl, which for 17 mm focal length and a 1.5 crop sensor introduces no additional vignetting.
