6. Distortion
While we had some complaints about distortion in the case of the Nikkor-S 5.8 cm f/1.4 and the Nikkor AF-S 50 mm f/1.4, because its level reached the value of –2%, in the case of the slower fifties there are no reasons to complain. It is interesting that the older model corrects that aberration a bit better than the newer one. In its case we noticed a very slight pincushion distortion of –0.17%. In the case of the Nikkor AF 1.8/50D the distortion value reached -0.49%.
