90 years of the Olympus company - Olympus F.Zuiko Auto-S 50 mm f/1.8 versus Olympus ZD 50 mm f/2.0 Macro

6. Distortion

Distortion level for both lenses is low and practically undistinguishable. Both instruments show slight barrel distortion; it reaches –0.34% for the Olympus OM and –0.26% for the Olympus ZD. Taking into account the fact, that the measurement error in the case of distortion is about 0.1%, from the statistical point of view you can’t distinguish between these results as they are, in fact, close to zero.
