At the maximum aperture the Minolta’s brightness loss in the frame corners amounts to 39% (-1.42 EV) and the Sony’s result is by 2% higher. Taking into account the fact that the errors in this category reach 1-2% we consider it a draw. There is also a draw by f/2.0 where the Minolta’s light fall-off is 21% and the Sony’s – 22%. The same difference is by f/2.8 where we reach the results at the level of 6-7% so imperceptible in ordinary shots.
