Cons: A very sharp throughout the entire range, specific features in the wide-angle, 15 to 22 mm. Chromatic aberrations are minimal and easy to ruling in DxO. Perfect lens for interior and - especially landscapes. Excellent detail, qualitative study of overexposed parts in the sky. Minimum optical distortion, uniform field by field, no failures and looseness.Indeed water repellent coating the front lens element.

Pros: Doubtful stabilizer. To be honest, his work is almost not visible. If rapid change in focal length gives off an unpleasant \"plastic\" sound

Summary: My favorite lens with an amazingly sharp picture, as I wanted. Funny enough price for quality equipment

Cons: A bit more flare prone than my previous Sony/Zeiss FE 16-35mm F4 Do not accept normal filters. At 15mm you can tell the edges show some field curvature so you need to stop down more but by 16-17mm is mostly gone anyway without having to stop down.

Pros: Extremely sharp lens! So much better than the Canon 2.8 versions I and II. Also better than my Sony FE 16-35mm F4 and still better than the Canon F4 plus faster of course. Great color and contrast. Just beautiful rendition. On my Sony A7Rii 42MP monster it really shines. Also DXO just released a Profile for this lens if you use it with Sony E mount cameras and the LAEA3 or LAEA4 adapter so that is a big plus too.

Summary: Fantastic lens with beautiful rendition and sharpness across the frame. Also Tamron's support is second to none which matters a lot specially with their awesome 6 year warranty. Highly recommended lens!

Cons: 1. Cannot use filters due to bulbous front element 2. Rather heavy with respect to other competitors

Pros: 1. Very good lens construction, integrity and stability, 2. Wide aperture of f/2.8, 3. Low distortion, 4. Lower vignetting with respect to other competitors (including Canon), 5. Good chromatic aberration control, 6. High optical resolution (very sharp), 7. Great optical performance at wide-open aperture f/2.8, 8. Vibration Compensation (IS) with 2-stops performance, 9. Moisture resistant body and gasket on lens mount, 10. Front element coating repels dirt and water (very easy to clean)

Summary: Actually, in the Pros / Cons section, I wrote everthing about this beautiful lens. I highly recommend it to all photographers. I love this lens!

Cons: Purple fringing, purple fringing and purple fringing

    Pros: Very sharp. Well built.

Summary: I bought this lens to replace my Canon 16-35 f/2.8L II. It is sharp. Very sharp. It's sharper in the corners than the Canon is in the center. However, it has ridiculously bad purple fringing to the point where it almost becomes a purple haze if you are shooting a cloudy or partially cloudy sky. The fringing takes place over a fairly wide color gamut and there couldn't be picked out of the image (using Aperture) with one adjustment. I talked to Tamron hoping they would tell me that I got a bad copy. They, however, told me to expect this. I took the lens back.
