Nikon Nikkor AF-S DX 18-200 mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED VR
5. Chromatic aberration
In chromatic aberration, the large focal length range lenses often show a high chromatic aberration level at the ends of the range and small aberration in the middle. This was the case with both the Nikkor 18-135 mm and the Tamron 18-200 mm. The Nikkor 18-200 mm is an exception. In most of the focal lengths the chromatic aberration is within limits and only increased to a medium level. The situation is worse for 18 mm focal length, where the level of the flaw is large but still, taking into consideration the large focal length range and the complex design, it is not much to complain about.
