The distortion is the best pronounced at the shortest focal length – we get barrel distortion of -3.39%. The value is not shockingly high if we take into account what are the lens’s parameters. On the other hand, for Canon 17-55 mm the value was just -2.4%.

With the longer focal length the geometric distortion problem for the frame border is becoming rather small. For 30 mm, we have a pincushion distortion of 1.06%; it stays the same for 55 mm within the margin of error.
