When looking at the diode situated in the corner of the frame, we finally find a reason to complain. The coma evidently influences the image resolution and its effect is visible even after stopping down by one stop.

Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 28 mm f/2.0 ZF/ZK/ZE - Coma and astigmatism

On the other hand we could praise the Distagon for its astigmatism correction, which is spectacular. The average difference between horizontal and vertical MTF50 values reached as little as 2%. Such a fantastic result is very rare.
