Lens review

Sony DT 16-105 mm f/3.5-5.6

7. Coma and astigmatism

The coma correction level is not as good as in the case of the Zeiss- once again the latter prevails over the tested lens. The circular diode is transformed into a distinct comma; it can be clearly noticed at 16 mm, 30 mm and 50 mm. The situation improves at 70 mm and is also very rational at 105 mm.

For a change, the astigmatism will cause us no problems. It’s value, measured in our tests, amounted to 3.8% which is a very good result. Here the Sony fares even better than the Zeiss.
