Nikon Nikkor AF-S DX 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6G VR

6. Distortion

The distortion performance remains at the same level as in its predecessor. The values, measured by us at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of the focal lengths range, amounted to -3.39%, -0.18% and 0.14% respectively. For the Nikkor 18-55 mm without stabilization they were: -3.4%, -0.8% and 0.1%. In fact these are typical values for an instrument of such type. The deformations will be disturbing us only at the shortest focal length.
