The much-praised frame edge performance of the Olympus allows us to think that off-axis aberrations won’t be a huge problem. It is actually the case. The coma is well-corrected and the diode image in the frame corner - practically deformation-free.

Equally favourable situation can be observed in the case of astigmatism. The average result between horizontal and vertical MTF50 function values amounts to 6% which is a good result.
