11. Summary

Pros:

very good picture quality in the middle and at the edge of the field at all apertures,
excellent control of chromatic aberration,
negligible distortion,
very low coma,
slight astigmatism,
good performance against bright light,
sensibly corrected vignetting,
3-year-long guarantee (on extra charge you can extend it by next two years)

Cons:

slow, noisy and averagely accurate autofocus

If only Sigma decided to equip the 2.8/105 lens with an HSM motor we would have a nearly perfect device. Practically everything, concerning this lens, deserves our praise apart from the work of the autofocus. If you can forgive the Sigma such a slip-up you will get an instrument with exceptionally good optical properties.
