7. Coma and astigmatism

In this tested lens the coma was controlled in a very good way, which can be observed in the pictures below. The picture of the diode in the corner of the frame is a bit bigger than in the center but its shape is kept round, which is proof of very good optical work.

The astigmatism is corrected well, although not superbly. The average difference between vertical and horizontal MTF50 values in the center reached only 6%. It is worth adding that the astigmatism was smaller in the center of the focal length range and bigger at the edges of that range.
