6. Distortion

The owners of cameras with small sensors most often use standard zoom lenses, which focal lengths start from 16-18 mm. The barrel distortion can be quite visible in these, especially at the widest angles of view where it can reach the value of even –5%. That’s why using the Pentax 4/15 will be quite a nice change. The tested lens, as usual when it comes to a wideangle device, shows barrel distortion but its level, amounting to –1.41%, is not very bothersome and, compared to that of the zoom lenses, can be even considered slight.
