6. Distortion

The Sigma 2.8/30 is characterized by slight barrel distortion. What’s interesting, the E-PL1 body doesn’t try to correct it because in JPEG files it amounted to –0.89% and–0.92% in RAWs. These results are the same within the margin of error. When you compare photos, presented below, you can notice that, despite the lack of distortion correction, while passing from RAW to JPEG format, the images are slightly cropped.
