Lens review

Samyang 8 mm f/2.8 UMC Fisheye

6. Distortion

A huge curvature of straight lines, provided by „fisheye” lenses, is exactly that effect many people buy them for so it would be difficult to treat huge distortion as a disadvantage here; it is not corrected by definition, allowing the lens to reach an appropriate field of view. Out of chronicle duty we only add that our programs computed the value of that aberration as –29%.
