8. Vignetting

Let’s begin with the vignetting results for the Micro 4/3 sensor of the Olympus E-PL1.

At the maximum relative aperture the influence of the vignetting is being felt but still you can only call it moderate. The value we got was 24% (-0.79 EV). All real or potential problems, connected to that aberration end at the maximum relative aperture because by f/4.0 the vignetting is just 8% (-0.24 EV) so practically imperceptible.
