Chromatic aberration

In the case of the tested lens the longitudinal chromatic aberration is not a problem whatsoever. In the photo below, taken at the maximum relative aperture, you would be hard-pressed to find any noticeable cast of off-focus images.

The lateral variant of that aberration can be described in similar terms. It never exceeds a level of 0.04%, no matter what aperture value, so it remains imperceptible.

To sum up the lens deserves to be praised for its chromatic aberration correction.

Spherical aberration

Due to the parameters of the lens, which guarantee you a significant depth of field, getting equally big circles of light in front of and behind the focus was impossible so we couldn’t assess the spherical aberration that way. Still the lens doesn’t feature either a focus shift or characteristic ‘mist’ at the maximum relative aperture - it might suggest that aberration is corrected properly after all.
