Lens review

Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 25 mm f/1.8

9. Ghosting and flares

The tested Olympus performs against bright light moderately well. Even when the sun is situated outside the frame you can catch some light artifacts. Working with the lens wide open near a source of bright light you can notice a shiny circle. When you stop the lens down for a change the circle disappears but you see diagonal streaking. It should be emphasized, though, that those effects are visible only with the sun near a frame corner; moving it a bit further makes the image free of flares and quite correct.
