Samyang 10 mm f/2.8 ED AS NCS CS

6. Distortion

First, let’s remind here that the Sigma 10–20 mm f/3.5 showed barrel distortion of –3.05 % and a very similar result, that of –2.95%, had the Tokina 11-16 mm f/2.8 at its widest angle. Still the distortion correction in a zoom is difficult task; small wonder we expected Samyang to perform much better. Unfortunately the lens let us down a bit - its result is –4.19%. You have to admit that, if a fixed-focal length fares worse in this category than zoom lenses it is difficult to be pleased.
