Chromatic aberration

Lately Sigma made us used to such a high level of performance that I was seriously concerned in this test there would be nothing to criticize or carp about. The constructors have taken pity on me, though, and gave me an occasion to express my slight disapproval. The longitudinal chromatic aberration level is perhaps not high but remains noticeable and the crops below are the proof.

In the case of the lateral chromatic aberration everything returns to a truly cosmic level set up in the resolution chapter.

Lateral chromatic aberration simply doesn’t exist. The highest results, noted by us, didn’t exceed 0.02%. Brilliant!

Spherical aberration

First photos of this chapter don’t indicate any “focus shift” problems and the crops below prove that circles in front of and behind the focus look practically the same. The tested lens doesn’t have almost any problems with spherical aberration.
