So far there haven’t been many fixed focal length telephoto lenses in the Micro 4/3 system; if you want an autofocus device there is basically one lens available, the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 300 mm f/4.0 ED IS PRO which we’ve already tested. That’s why a new launch in November 2017 made me so happy – at that time the Panasonic company presented the Panasonic Leica DG Elmarit 200 mm f/2.8 POWER O.I.S.

We were able to handle that device already at the moment of its debut and take some photos too. Now we would like to thank Panasonic Polska for lending us one specimen of that lens for our tests and the results you can find in chapters below- enjoy!

You are also invited to get acquainted with our test procedure, described in the article "How do we test lenses?" If you feel it’s still not enough, please go to our FAQ section where you can find some further explanation.
