5. Chromatic aberration

Olympus ZD 50 mm f/2.0 showed us how an exemplary chromatic aberration correction should work. In its case this aberration level was contained in the 0.02-0.03% bracket, which means the aberration is virtually invisible. The older lens fares worse here - it can be seen on the graph below.

We shouldn’t desperate, though. The aberration level, presented by the Olympus F Zuiko is also low and it decreases slightly on stopping down. You will have difficulties to notice the aberration in pictures, as it is proven by the following test chart crop, taken by f/2.8.
