Sigma C 18-50 mm f/2.8 DC DN – first impressions and sample images
4. Summary
I admit I am a bit surprised that there is no Sigma C 18-50 mm version with the Micro 4/3 mount available at the very beginning. After all Sigma have been actively involved in work over that mount and the 18-50 mm range is an equivalent of the 36-100 mm range on full frame. With a fixed f/2.8 aperture these are very interesting parameters and, I suppose, many Olympus and Panasonic users would be interested in buying such an instrument.
Still I will assess the mount strategy of Sigma and the optical properties of the Sigma C 18-50 mm f/2.8 DC DN when I get hold of and test the final product properly – right now feel invited to read our full test as soon as it is published!
