6. Distortion

At the widest angle the ZD 14-54 mm shows barrel distortion of –2.12%. The Leica fares a bit worse here, having the result of –2.4% and the kit lens is the worst with the result of –3.4%. In the middle of the focal lengths range the geometric deformations are practically imperceptible because their value, measured by us, amounted to just 0.14%. What’s interesting at 54 mm the distortion once again becomes barrel and reaches –0.56%. Fortunately that level is still considered low.
