It is clear that, compared to the predecessor, the coatings and blackening of the lens were improved; anyway the results are well visible. The performance of the new Tamron against bright light can only be praised, especially that, in this cathegory, the lens is easily the best in this class of equipment, outperforming distinctly even expensive Canon and Nikon constructions.
