When it comes to the performance against bright light the standards were raised really high for this lens. After all you deal here with a construction including 12 groups of elements; as many as 24 air-to-glass surfaces needed to be covered by high quality coatings. What's more, the front element is big and almost not hidden inside the casing and you deal here with a zoom lens with wide angles of view and a good aperture fastness. A big number of movable parts seriously limits the possibility of using efficient inner diaphragms.
Taking it all into account the performance of the Panaleica 10-25 mm against sources of bright light should be assessed very positively. There are shots where you can notice ghosting and flares but they are few and far between. What's more, in practically all shots the tested lens kept a good level of sharpness – it is really something worth our recognition!
