Cons: Sharp focus very limited to certain f stops and focal lengths.
Pros: Find that sweet spot and your good to go. I\'ve captured a lot of birds/nature shots with pleasing results. Not a super-fast lens, but I\'ve caught some great movement in animals with it.
Summary: Budget friendly, a great starter zoom. I wouldn\'t go on a safari with it, but it\'s my go to lens when at parks with waterfowl.

Cons: This is a SLOW lens, doesn't open very wide either. I bought it for a long zoom and it does that. Just don't be in a hurry to focus and bring a tripod!!
Pros: It will get 300mm, and that pulls the subject in real close. It isn't a bad lens for bright sunny days like a trip to the Zoo. For the price I paid it isn't bad. For List price, I would be taking it back!!
Summary: Cheap zoom lens, works well.
