Cons: Sharpness starts at F/4
Pros: Small light weight lens. Nice sharp from F/4 to F/22. Good colours. Solid construction.
Summary: This lens was provided with my K1000 that I bought in 1976. After al this years still a nice prime. Nowadays I use the 43mm limited as a standard prime, but occasionally... Try this little gem on a DSLR and convert your pics to black and white. Then see the gorgious tones and imaging!

Summary: Probably my most favourite Pentax lens. I bought this little gem in a small second-hand camera store about a year and half ago for a price low that much that I haven't seen it that low anywhere else in my country since that. And I immediately felt in love with it. The outputs are simply stunning - great colours, great contrast and solid bokeh thanks to low aperture. If properly focused then the sharpness is unbeatable. Solidly built too. Useful for low-light and indoors (well, the focal length is sometimes limiting) and portraits at DSLR. My walking lens for film camera except for landscapes. I'm giving 7 to aberration just because it behaves weird. On some shots the aberration is virtually non-existent and some others shows heavy aberration even on higher apertures. And I mean the aberration differs between the shots taken in same time at the same place with unchanged camera settings. But still, it is quite easy to remove that (or most of it) in software and it doesn`t matter that much on film. Realtors Marketing | printing services

Pros: Small, light,comfortable.
Summary: When you need a small light lens to shoot at 3.5 - 4.0, this one is perfect. Very comfortable mechanics. Usable at 2.8, but not really on 2. The 50mm 1.7 is way sharper on 2.

Pros: nice colours, high contrast, very nice bokeh ,low price, excellent sharpness, if stopped down to f 5,6-8
Summary: still better than 1;7/50, if you can get it, buy it. very sharp photos on Pentax K5 and K200
