Samyang 14 mm f/2.8 is a manual lens. Will the lack of autofocus bother us much? We don’t think so. On D3x, even at f/2.8 aperture, all you have to do is set the distance scale at 2.4 meter to get an image sharp from 1.2 meter to infinity. When we want to work at the sharpest aperture f/5.6, setting the scale at 1.2 meter will give us a depth from 0.6 meter to infinity.
