Voigtlander Nokton 42.5 mm f/0.95

9. Ghosting and flares

Work against bright light is neither a strong point of the tested lens nor its biggest flaw. Flares can be seen only when the sun is situated firmly inside the frame. Then, no matter what aperture you employ, you can notice distinct, colourful artifacts. When you move the sun near the very corner or just outside the frame the flares fade out although the contrast decrease remains still noticeable. In this category the PanaLeica 1.2/42.5 fared noticeably better.
