Cons: A bit of green fringing from /2.8-/4 in high contrast conditions.

Pros: Close focus capabilities, resolution, micro contrast, 3D effect,

Summary: Using this on a Pentax K-3 where it acts as an A lens so have full use of all the program modes and can set the aperture via the camera body. Metering is perfect. This is a lens with a dual personality, 20cm to 75cm and you have pin sharp center and delicious smooth transition to out of focus to really make the subject stand out. Focus out to near infinity and it becomes an uber high resolution landscape lens. On the K-3 f/5.6 for highest resolution and detail, on the K-1? :) yet to find out.

Cons: If you really mind: manual focus only. But who need AF at this focal length?

Pros: Anything else. Especially: solid all metal built, excellent image quality, very high value for money

Summary: I didn't want to spend 550 EUR additionally for f/2.0 so I purchased this one and I am fully satisfied. This lens is my favourite and I keep it mounted on my DSLR as my standard lens. And yes, it has an aperture ring !! So forget about the Nikkor G-types and Sigmas. This lens is fully compatible with 35mm film Nikons and is adaptable to Sony cameras in manual and A-mode.

Cons: A little bit heavy. The price, I was lucky to find one at half the price (closing retailer).

Pros: Zeiss 3D rendition, color rendition is perfect. Weather sealed. Sharp, sharp and sharp front corner to center even at 2.8 in non-lab condition (focus at more than 2m). It's design to shoot near infinity. Near macro shot at 1/2.3 amazing shots. However your lens is just at 6cm of your subject, and sharpness is less extraordinary in the corners, but who care at such a close range.

Summary: A Zeiss lens, nothing else.
