Cons: No hard-stop infinity focus (not useful for night shooting). No weather sealing. A little focus-hunting in low-light (may depend on camera - but with Alpha a900 and Alpha a99 it can be better).

Pros: Super-sharp across the frame. High contrast. High micro-contrast. Pleasant colours and bokeh. Robust design and construction. Fast focusing motor.

Summary: Wonderful lens, along with 1.8/135 and new 1.4/50 Zeiss primes its definitely makes Sony Alpha system attractive.

    Cons: Expensive.

Pros: Extraordinarily sharp from wide open to f18. Very solidly built and a pleasure to work with even in manual focus mode. For panoramic work this is an absolute must. I strongly recommend the use of Expodisc to set white balance as this is a lens that easily outperforms camera capabilities.

Summary: If white balance is set correctly (this lens is quite sensitive) and with light metering -0.3EV, one can almost guarantee that very little if any post processing will be required.
