Cons: short focal range which is also a benefit to have instead of a few primes
Pros: It is made of materials the do not change with temperature so it is ideal for winter landscape. Good zoom range for a wide walk around lens. Very good astrophotography lens, rated as better than similar A\' primes
Summary: I think it is the best lens in that range and is low priced.
