Cons: IQ wide open at frame edges at 24 could be better. Compared to limited series lenses, its big & heavy (but not as bad as I feared in the flesh).
Pros: Great build and weather sealing. Good IQ. Nice to use.
Summary: Something thats hard to quantify, but valid nevertheless, is the real world keep rate you get with a lens. With this lens I get a high rate of keepers (more so that I get with the DFA 28-105, even though thats a good lens). I originally thought I didn\'t need this lens as I had a bunch of primes and a DFA 28-105 for weather sealing. But now I\'m wondering why I didn\'t get one earlier! Bought mine second hand and I\'m very happy with it.

Cons: soft corners on full frame at the wide end heavy
Pros: weather sealed silent and reliable AF good frame center and generally on the long end versatile
Summary: I am a bit disappointed by the edge / corner performance at 24 - 40 mm, but maybe this is just my copy.
