Overall
Owner since: 2 years
Price: $400
User profile: Amateur
Cons: Aperture could be faster, but not a significant criticism.
Pros: Great IQ; great for portraits but also versatile for many photo application. This is probably my favourite lens that I own.
Summary: I absolutely love this lens. I think I've taken my best photos on my K-x. Can't wait to see how it is with K-5.
Overall
Owner since: 3 years
Price: 400
User profile: Semipro
Cons: Could be faster (aperture). Doesn't quite have the magic that the 77 LTD is capable of.
Pros: Great image quality, even wide open, across the frame. Quick AF with manual override (much improved over older 77 f/1.8. Terrific carry anywhere size.
Summary: Great combo of image quality, size, and build quality.
