Cons: Quite a slow lens and autofocus is slow by modern standards. Images lack contrast even with a hood and UV filter (fixable in post-processing).
Pros: Cheap. Small and light enough to be carried anywhere. At the shortest zoom, it is about the size of a fizzy drink can and weighs slightly less.
Summary: A lens I bought second-hand over 10 years ago is still going strong and has no visible dust inside it. Can't complain about that. I will probably replace it with something faster in the near future, though.
