Cons: Heavy No VR
Pros: Sharp sharp sharp!!! Great bokeh perfect for portrait Very reliable and speedy AF (at least on Nikon's)
Summary: Going to takes shots of people - just take it. The picture quality is as high as quality of fixed focal length lens, but gives more versatility. Weight is the only concern. VR is wishful but not critical. Focusing speed is quite good. Probably it depends on camera brand

Cons: Slow and noisy AF. Don't like the AF MT switch. Sensitive to flare. 135mm at 2.8 is a bit weak, but remain usable
Pros: Great image sharpness. Great lens for portrait with a nice bokeh. By stepping down only 1/3 of a stop (3.2 at 135mm) the image is getting very good. Very good value for the money.
