Cons: Flare results in purple blobs to appear when used on Olympus cameras only (not Panasonic bodies) due to the fact the Olympus sensors do not have the same filters on the sensor compared to Panasonic M43 sensors. (i.e. this lens is not recommended to be used on Olympus bodies). No provision for screw-on filters. Lens does have a slight flaring issue.
Pros: Excellent color, contrast, sharpness. Good build quality.
Summary: Excellent lens in all ways, but only if you use it on a Panasonic body, due to the purple blob flares you will often obtain on Olympus cameras as the lens was designed (coatings?) with the assumption the sensor would have particular (IR?) filter on it.

Cons: No provision for external filter. This would be to protect that really expensive highly curved piece of glass at the front or to use ND filters. PL filters don't work on lenses this wide. Not so good near its long end, better to switch to 14mm pancake or 14-45mm kit lens.
Pros: Fabulous range of 14-28mm (35mm equiv.). Sharp, fast and fixed f4 aperture. Unbelievably light and small. Most desirable of all the micro 4/3 ultra wide lenses.
Summary: I have to put this up against my Canon 10-20mm for APS-C size sensors. No contest, with this sort of glass the M 4/3 really comes into its own. Now what we need is longer prime lenses or quality zooms and they are coming through.
