Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 35 mm f/2 ZF/ZK/ZS/ZE

8. Vignetting

We are quite disappointed the Zeiss falloff at f/2. On the APS-C it amounts 35% (-1.24 EV) and we seriously afraid of results on the full-frame format especially as other 35’s falloff is ranged between 24% and 33%.

Fortunately the defect decreases in proportion with stopping down the aperture. At f/2.8 we have hardly noticeable level 15% (-0.47 EV) and at f/4.0 the vignetting almost disappears giving 6% level.
