1. Introduction

Although, while interviewing, the representatives of Sigma emphasize the fact that mirrorless systems are not one of their priorities, their company tries to be active in that segment. First Micro 4/3 and Sony E mount lenses appeared at the beginning of 2012 and these were the 2.8/19 and 2.8/30 models, both tested by us and assessed in a positive way. Almost a year after the launch of these first models Sigma decided to introduce the next device from that segment - in January 2013 they announced the launch of the Sigma A 60 mm f/2.8 DN. Today we have a pleasure to show you the results of our full test – enjoy your reading!

We would like to thank Sigma ProCentrum for lending us the lens for testing purposes.

You are also invited to get acquainted with our test procedure, described in the article "How do we test lenses?" If you feel it’s still not enough, please go to our FAQ section where you can find some further explanation.
