As long as you work with JPEG files you won’t have any distortion-related problems. We noticed just slight barrel distortions of –0.85%. However we known the Fujifilm X-E1 body corrects that aberration so, in order to see how the lens optics performs on its own, you have to examine RAW files developed by independent software. The distortion is higher there but still you can consider its level moderate – we determined it as –1.98%.

It’s also worth mentioning that, along with the higher distortion in RAW files you also get a bit wider field of view.
