The Mitakon Creator 2/35 is a manual lens so the focus is set using a comfortable ring which work is beyond reproach. A clear depth of field scale on the lens helps you with the settings.

Mitakon Creator 35 mm f/2 - Focusing

A 35 mm focal length instrument is a wide angle lens on full frame so, in its case, the task is not that difficult. When you take photos of objects situated in a distance of about 3 meters at the maximum relative aperture the depth of field is almost one meter wide. On stopping down the lens to f/5.6 it’s enough to set the focus at a bit over 7 meters and you can enjoy sharp images from less than 4 meters to infinity.
