The performance of the Viltrox against a source of bright light depends on the system you work in. One of the most likely reasons is a different mount construction and a different shape of the area surrounding the rear element – we wrote about it in detail while describing the construction of both models we got in our test.
When the lens cooperates with the Sony A7R II you don't experience a lot of problems even if they become more pronounced on stopping down the aperture. The photos from the Fujifilm X-T2 look much worse, though.
