Cons: slow, I have to shoot on a bright day.

Pros: light, small and cheap! Picture are very good and sharp, if not super sharp as other panasonic lenses: 20mm and 45mm lenses.

Summary: for a zoom up to 400mm for $270 at that small and light, what I can complain?? If you shoot bright day and with shutter faster than 1/400, you will get excellent sharp images! Very happy with this lens.

Cons: not a fast large aperture lens

Pros: Instant to focus on latest Panasonic bodies Superb tight build, very smooth zoom and nice balance. Size just can't be beat for focal length provided

Summary: This is, to me, one of the "must have" mft lenses. It is lightweight but tight and solid built. Pretty much instant focus lock and is consistently accurate. The price is absurd for what you get. I've had a Canon 100-400L that was $1400 that didn't look better in print than what this lens delivered. Makes for the ideal addition to your travel lens group

Cons: Slow in all respects and at longer focal lengths impractical to use in anything other than bright light. The light weight and small size is deceptive and tempts you to take it out without a tripod, which is usually a mistake. Nothing outstanding in terms of sharpness either.

Pros: Appears solidly built and is easy to carry around.

Summary: Disappointing and the worst Panasonic purchase I've made. Very little to commend it in my opinion, although I seem to be in a minority amongst users. Priced competitively and perhaps if I tried it out more often I'd be able to work more effectively within its obvious limitations.
