Cons: Ugly hood, comically extends at 9mm.
Pros: Solid image quality wide open, tiny, quick AF.

Cons: At 9 mm good central sharpness but corners relatively soft. Increasingly worse at longer focal lengths, between 14 and 18 mm sub average sharpness. Not suitable for videography: Slow (but silent) and pumping autofocus, focus breathing.
Pros: Very compact and light, low vignetting, filters possible
Summary: At first sight a seducing compact ultradwide lens. However optical quality at 9 mm is ok but not more. Zooming in especially above 12 mm is not recommendes because of cheap kit-lens sharpness an low speed. Not really good for for video. For this it is pretty expensive and you should try to get it used.

Cons: odd construction, short when folded very long when activatged with an awkward button pushed plasticky, cheap feel f4 too slow for star photography, marginal for indoor use
Pros: wonderfully light and compact to carry around! convenient 52mm filters! reasonably good sharpness in the center
Summary: over the last 9 years I have occasionally thought about selling this lens but I decided that the pros listed above outweighed other Panasonic or Olympus (7-14 f2.8) alternatives

Cons: the Olympus' first implementation of collapsible mechanisme with that pull switch is not perfect
Pros: good optical quality, small size and weight, good match for smaller m43 cameras
Summary: This is an underrated lens. The optical quality is more than good enough for amateur photography. The lens is small and lightweight making it a good match for smaller m43 bodies. I use it for landscape and static indoor (interior design). I would not use it for anything moving in low light (indoor) as it is not fast enough.

Cons: Too slow for normal indoor use. It might work OK for slow moving subjects if you have a camera with in body stabilisation. I don't. As soon as you take in indoors and try to photograph a young child or pet it starts to struggle. On those occasions its time to ramp up the iso or better yet switch to a prime...
Pros: Very light compared to other wide angle zooms. Quite sharp image and a very usable zoom range. It goes from ultra wide angle to the wide end of normal range. So actually makes a pretty usable walk around lens for outdoors. I'd call this an excellent "landscape lens".
Summary: An excellent Landscape and walk around lens.Just not Ideal for indoor use.
