Sigma 70-200 mm f/2.8 EX DG APO OS HSM

A 70-200 mm lens with f/2.8 aperture is a standard journalistic device. Small wonder every prestigious optics producer wants to have such a lens in its line-up. What’s more, journalists are very demanding customers so the manufacturers strive to put inside such an instrument the best of everything they have.

Last several years have been marked by the dynamic progress in the field of the technique for optics design, manufacturing special glass or coatings. We’ve also seen better autofocus mechanisms and optical image stabilization systems launched on the market. Small wonder 70-200 mm f/2.8 lenses launched 5-10 years ago became obsolete very fast and most of producers have decided to refresh their line-up a bit. That’s why, since 2008 we’ve seen the launches of new 70-200 mm f/2.8 Tamron, Canon, Nikkor and Sigma lenses.
