From some time Venus Optics have been enlarging their offer by lenses from the very fast Argus series. In case of models designed for cameras with sensors smaller than full frame you get a very impressive aperture fastness, that of f/0.95. So far four instruments have been shown on the market, with focal lengths from 18 to 33 mm and the following chart presents their basic parameters.

Venus Optics LAOWA Argus 28 mm f/1.2 FF - Introduction

In case of Argus lenses designed for full frame mirrorless cameras, their aperture fastness changes from f/0.95 to f/1.2. So far, three models have been launched, with focal lengths ranging from 28 to 45 mm and we present them in the following chart. The Argus 28 mm f/1.2 FF is the latest device in this group, as it was launched in March 2023, and it is also the first instrument we had an opportunity to test. Courtesy of fdirect, a distributor of Venus Optics brandname products for Poland, we got one specimen for testing purposes, thank you very much for your kindness!
