Cons: Finish loss is very common due to the metal lens construction, I wish it were available in the lighter silver finish, as this would be less of an issue, and having a good sock would be nice too.

Pros: Very sharp, beautiful rendering, very nice bokeh, and almost no distortion. This lens is very hard to beat in the Fuji lineup. Excellent Character and Rendering.

Summary: While most people gush over the Fuji 35, I have to say, this is the real gem of the Fuji lineup as it is superior in every way, when compared to the Fuji 35. Overall, I love the rendering and the sharpness of the lens wide open, and the character is top notch for all the lenses that I’ve used. Also, anyone that gets two copies of this lens and claims it is soft, either needs glasses, or their camera is the issue. This lens is very sharp, even wide open.

Cons: Size, maybe. But it is a 1,4...

Pros: Sharp, tridimensional, almost no distortion. Top of Fujifilm lenses quality.

Summary: I have owned a first 35mm 1,4 a few years ago. I sold it to buy a second body, then I bought a second copy. The lens in my own opinion is one of the best in the Fujinon X range. It has a distinctive character, the results are outstanding.

Cons: - Not weather sealed - Huge sample variations

Pros: - Bright - Reasonable size / weight - Excellent sharpness from wide open - Still sharp at close distances - Smooth bokeh

Summary: This is an excellent lens and the perfect everyday prime... if you find a good sample. If so, it can be comparable to the great 16mm f/1,4 with more versatile angle and creamier bokeh. It\'s not weather sealed but build quality seems good with reasonable size for it\'s aperture. The optics are sharp from f/1,4 and almost faultless when stopped down one or two stops. On the contrary to the 23mm f/2, it remains sharp even when used at minimal focus distance. Consider this lens over the f/2 version if you need a brighter aperture, like wide angle bokeh or do a lot of close up work. Otherwise sharpess at infinity is similar.

Cons: soft, slow focusing, aperture ring easy to bump, expensive

    Pros: f/1.4

Summary: It\'s the only fast 23mm Fuji lens, so there is no other choice. I found the lens soft at the center and very soft at the edges wide open, which is where you want to shoot it, otherwise you would have had 23/2. I compared it to my new RF 35/1.8 (23/1.2 APS-C equivalent) and Fuji is significantly softer and lower in contrast despite being significantly more expensive. This is probably the most overpriced Fuji lens even at $650 on sale. It\'s also an old design with a slow AF.

Cons: I can\'t get any %100 focus image with this lens. How people can say sharp for this lens don\'t understand. I sent back 2 copies of 23xf 1.4 this week. I will try my chance in 3. copy hopefully.

Pros: I hope it will be fine when I find a non-soft and non-out of focus copy...

Summary: Lens could be a great lens if it could focus around %100... Worst 35mm I have ever seen...

Cons: Slightly big when compared to the whole Fuji X system, but it is worth the extra weight and size.

Pros: Extremely sharp, robust, recommended for street photography and documentary. I like the depth of field scale and the clutch AF/MF.

Summary: A great lens, along with the 35mm 1,4 and the 14 mm 2,8. Strongly recommended.

Cons: Price. Size is okay, but a little on the large side

Pros: IQ, the image quality is brilliant, bokeh is excellent, it’s sharp, very versatile field of view, excellent build quality, clutch change from AF to MF is a great feature.

Summary: I really like everything about this lens, and ultimately the image quality. It’s a great all rounder and I use it alongside the Fuji XF 56mm, between these two lenses nearly all my photographic needs are covered.
